What You’ll Need to Get Started
To use this feature, ensure your Apple TV is a 2nd generation or newer model and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device. You will also need to install the official Apple TV app from the Google Play Store on your phone.
1. Use the Official Apple TV App
The primary and most reliable method is through Apple’s own TV app for Android. After installing the app, sign in with your Apple ID. The app will automatically search for Apple TVs on your network and provide a built-in touchpad remote with all the essential controls, including a Siri button for voice commands.
2. Navigate with the On-Screen Touch Controls
The remote within the Apple TV app mirrors the layout of the physical Siri Remote. It features a large touchpad for swiping and selecting content, along with virtual buttons for Menu, Home, Play/Pause, and Volume control. A microphone icon allows you to use voice search.
